La Liaison Room Parents
WHAT IS A ROOM PARENT?
A Room Parent volunteer serves as a liaison between classroom parents and the PTO, and as a liaison between the classroom parents and the teacher. As our secondary campus students do not have homeroom classes, parent volunteers are assigned to each grade.
WHAT DOES A ROOM PARENT DO?
Room Parent Volunteers help teachers with a various activities throughout the school year including
- Helping the teacher collect supplies for special projects and events
- Helping chaperone or coordinate chaperones for field trips or other special activities
- Creating and collecting items for class or grade raffle baskets for Carnaval Français.
- Coordinating class volunteers for PTO events such as Teacher Appreciation lunches, fundraising and community social events.
Room Parent responsibilities shift a bit for our middle and high schoolers and may also include helping chaperone dances and other special activities.
HOW DO I VOLUNTEER AS A ROOM PARENT?
Serving as a Room Parent is a great opportunity for you to be involved in and contribute to the success of the students, teachers, and the entire community at Lycée Français! Complete the Room Parent sign up below and let the Room Parent Coordinators know how you would like to help.
